Girl On Wire – We Accept Your Mission

Monday, July 16th, 2012

Over the weekend I watched Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol on dvd. It’s the fourth installment in a series of action movies starring Tom Cruise and inspired by the 60s TV Show by the same name. These movies feature a crack team of highly skilled covert operatives who know how to kick butt, speak foreign languages and deploy very cool hi-tech gadgets to save the day. They have exciting adventures all around the world, are masters of disguise and there’s always car chases, explosions and outrageous stunts.

Tom plays the role of Ethan Hunt, the leader of this team and in Ghost Protocol, the team is disavowed after being framed for a terrorist attack on the Kremlin. Ethan and his band of merry spies must prove the innocence of the secret agency and thwart an evil plot to start a nuclear war and their intense journey takes them to Moscow and Dubai.

It’s a great flick that I highly recommend if you’re into action/espionage movies. A few Wikipedia facts about this 2011 film: it grossed over $693 million worldwide, becoming the highest grossing Mission: Impossible installment and the highest grossing film starring Tom Cruise.

Wouldn’t it be awesome to have a group of skilled agents to help you with those hi-tech tasks you don’t have the time or patience to deal with? You do! Team Teltek is here to save the day…or at least your sanity.

Our highly trained technicians speak the many technical languages that leave most of us wishing we had a decoder on hand. They know how to design a security fortress to protect your data, defuse villainous email viruses and ensure that your communications systems are running optimally to maintain contact with your operatives…or staff. Your mission is not impossible to us and we accept it gladly.

What Is Avaya Aura Workforce Optimization?

Friday, July 13th, 2012

Avaya AuraWorkforce Optimization or AAWO is defined on Avaya‘s web site as an “analytics-driven offering that lets organizations capture, analyze and act on information to improve workforce performance, customer interactions and customer service processes.” How can your company benefit from utilizing this product?

AAWO accomplishes these objectives by extracting information and automating certain tasks through four essential functions:

Contact Recording and Quality Monitoring: this feature provides a supervisor with the ability to record, search, play back and store the voice interactions and on-screen activity between agents and customers. If verbal communication issues are detected, the system can offer coaching and performance tools to remedy the situation

Workforce Management:  by reviewing call volume information and analyzing it, the system is able to automatically forecast staffing requirements to meet times of high and low call volumes, which leads to more efficient agent scheduling

Speech Analytics: this tool is able to categorize and analyze call content trends, which can determine customer satisfaction and dissatisfaction. Sophisticated word detection engines and data mining algorithms identify specific word and phrase mentions and provide quantifiable results which can be compiled to improve contact center performance

Customer Feedback Surveys: This tool allows businesses to immediately receive comments directly from a customer at the close of a contact. The agent and call identifiers allow supervisors to specifically address any issues that are raised and  customer scores can be correlated to individual agents

The purpose of AAWO is to Reduce Operational Costs by ensuring that contact centers are not over-staffed, Improve Agent Performance and Productivity through automated coaching and scoreboard assessments and Increase Customer And Employee Satisfaction and Retention.

More information on AAWO can be found by viewing this brochure or by calling Teltek! We are a Certified Avaya Business Partner and ready to assist you with your telecommunication and IT needs.

7 Tips To Manage Your Bandwidth

Friday, February 10th, 2012

What’s the best way to optimize your network use? Bandwidth management is the practice of measuring and controlling the communications on your network link to avoid overfilling it. Excessive streaming, downloading and other actions can result in network congestion which will lead to a disruption in productivity since users will have slow or no access to what they need.

Here are a few tips to regulate your bandwidth:

1. Continuously monitor and know your traffic: you should be familiar with your users and their behaviors so you can enforce proper usage.

2. Utilize trending and baselining: pinpoint abnormalities before they become problems. You will need a certain amount of historical data to spot the trends

3. Prioritize critical business applications: Make sure the applications necessary for running your business are at the forefront so they don’t get pushed aside by less important items. A QoS router can accomplish this

4. Utilize bandwidth management tools: Barracuda, Solarwinds and other companies have products on the market to help with this

5. Eliminate unneccessary protocols: printers and other equipment may be supporting protocols that are outdated or not needed

6. Limit use of YouTube, Facebook and iTunes: In a typical work environment, these sites do not need to be accessed regularly. Have an internet usage policy in place and utilize your firewall to make sure your employees are not updating their statuses and buying music on your bandwidth

7. Call Teltek! We can evaluate your workflow, run reports and install the necessary measures to ensure your bandwidth is fast and reliable. Contact Teltek today for a free site survey!

As a Microsoft Certified Partner and Dell Registered Partner, Teltek has the knowledge and resources necessary to keep your computer network and IT infrastructure current and functioning efficiently with the personalized service Teltek clients have grown to admire. French Hotel Chain Benefits From Avaya IP Office Features

Friday, February 10th, 2012

Suite-Home is a three star hotel chain based in France. They have 6 hotels strategically placed in historic french cities and they have plans to expand to a total of 17 hotels in the near future. Suite-Home prides itself on providing their guests with a homey environment that includes spacious rooms with kitchens, a daily breakfast buffet and a reliable, user-friendly phone system; the Avaya IP Office!

The primary objective of the hotel chain is to ensure that their guests are comfortable and feel as if their personal and business needs are being met. The Avaya IP Office phone system was recommended to the hotel chain for its expandability, reliability and efficiency. A single server is able to support the phone systems at all six locations, which saves money and time. The server connects to the property management system designed to handle reservations and billing.

Avaya’s conferencing services provide guests with the ability to stay in touch with the office or conduct important business meetings while at the hotel. The Mobile Worker application allows hotel managers to keep in touch with employees and manage all aspects of the hotel when they are not on site.

Xavier Godard of ETP Tetracom, an Avaya Partner, finds the IP Office phone system “perfectly adapted to the hotel industry” and he appreciates the way Avaya listens to him and presents solutions to their needs.

Watch this video to see this and more in their own words!

Monday, November 28th, 2011

Now that Thanksgiving and Black Friday are behind us, I’m ready to start thinking about Christmas, the biggest holiday of the year.

Preparing for this day requires planning, organization and meeting certain deadlines. Cards need to be written out and addressed so they can be mailed by a certain date…ideally, prior to Christmas Day! Teltek’s Service Vans Replaced with “White Chargers”

Friday, September 30th, 2011

Teltek receives a positive review for Avaya IP Office phone system support provided to The Episcopal Diocese Of Maryland.

Fran B. of the Episcopal Diocese states:

“Mark has already galloped in on his white charger and repaired the problem…. Thank y’all for responding promptly and effectively, again to the damsel in distress! Happy day, Carrie”

As you can see here at Teltek we take great pride in the level of support and customer service that we provide each of our customers.
